Re: Wear Valley Railway
We need a Class 37 I think
to get up the line to Wearhead, gets a bit steep and winding in places....

Just to put my oar in. The IOW route has new tracks, which look much better than the original ones did. Will you be using the default rails or or you going to be using a new and impoved set of rails?

Re: Wear Valley Railway
Yes the 37 starts next week.

I have not made my mind up about the track.
Personally i'd rather have a better 'vista' looking up the valley than 3d sleepers.
I'll make that call later in the day though.
regards
Derek

Re: Wear Valley Railway
Hi, I guess the main route to Wearhead is around 35 mile long including track going out to each of the stations (Hunwick, Coundon, Shildon tunnel and Evenwood)
There should be some content fixes released tomorrow.
Probably only the mk2 coaches, the profile was not correct and we were keen to bring ours in line with DT's coaches.
regards

Re: Wear Valley Railway
Hi,
(the side elevation cross section)
the hight was wrong by about 10 cms and the angle of the sloping sides was too shallow which gave the coach a 'box like' look.
Also there are some texture changes to it.

Hi Derek
Looking forward to this route. With the dynamic duo in charge it should be really good.
Don't forget that if you need any tips on route building, scenery, rolling stock, etc, we are here to help.

Re: Wear Valley Railway
Thank you for the kind words, nice to hear every now and again.
Adam is a star, he is meant to be on holiday!
I'm a happy man, was just flicking through my bedtime reading, ' A Pictorial Record of LNER Constituent Signalling' when I came across a picture of Bishop Auckland's North signal box. Up until now I had one rubbish image. From this new image I can make it without having to guess too much, happy days
The 101 is amongst the locos as is the 37, there will be steam (still fighting over which one) and something for our NA cousins.
Thats as much as I want to say on the matter, but there should be something for everyone.
regards
Derek

Re: Wear Valley Railway
A plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel.
"Home 8. Dined and worked. Planning conquest of Iceland for next week. Shall probably be too late! Saw several broods of ducklings." Alexander Cadogan, end of diary entry for May 4, 1940.
