My brain has turned to mush... ?

Can someone please enlighten me here ? I placed a DMU with a driver to it, at a station at the end of my line, and drove another DMU from the opposite end of the line, as the driven train (ticked driver fly-out box) and when I got to the other end and disgourged the passengers, I tried to click on the front of the other train waiting on the platform opposite, so I could drive it back to the other end of the line, but nothing happened. I'm afraid if I put a tick in the driver box of this 2nd service, it may crash KRS - or is that only in a scenario or what ? Just a little help here will give me a huge boost I'm positive :)

In the scenario editor, did you place a driver icon on the second DMU to make it driveable?

also if you tick the box to set a train as being the manual drive train, then I believe you cannot select another engein... so try leaving the box unticked.

be aware that if you do this and you have set destinations then the train will drive away under the influence of the AI driver untill you jump into the train.

Hi Jim,

Try making the Scenario a 'Free Roam' and ensure both the DMU's have been given a Drivers Tab.

I seem to have gotten it working again, so I can drive the other train, but I did make it a FreeRoam scenario first. I'm so busy with making routes that I sometimes just forget some things like that. Sorry, but I'm now a happy chappie, ta !

G'day there mate...

Ta for the reply. As I see, the right-hand side of the page says I'm "new to the Forum". I really wonder how long you have to be active in a forum before you're listed as "Old Hat" ? I've been writing here for quite a while, but recently I did happen to have a loss of data on my computer, and had to re-format the HDD and re-install Windows XP. And I lost my info for several other places as well as this site, and had to request help. I may have been re-listed here and sent back to Square One or something in the ranking lists... who knows ?
