Mixing Track Types for pointwork on Main Lines.

Post by Oldpufferspotter »

Hi everyone,
I have been using the default track to create a new route from scratch, and have never been able to create a manual point using the default track.
I have successfully created manual points in a loco shed layout using the Bath_Temp_Yard track, and to provide access to the loco shed I have placed two manual points on a stretch of Default track using this Yard type track just for the points. Has anyone had any problems placing odd points of a different track type here and there amongst the Default track please? I'm thinking of AI trains in Scenarios in particular.
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.
regards from an Old Chap.

Hiya,

When you are unable to create the junction switch for manual junctions, are you by any chance using the 'Default1' trackrule?

This is not setup with Manual Junciton levers. It is better to use one of the trackrules related to a route or your own one if created.
