Hi,
I have been trying some night Lighting and can only find the following:-
A Modern Double Station Light
A Modern Station Light
An Old Station Light
Modern Street Lamps
Road with Lamps
Are there any others available that I have missed.
The semaphore Signals have no lamps in them and I remember seeing globe lights in the Default Darlington Station. But not on the Scenery Item to place in a Route. There are also no window lights in the Buildings in that version of the station.
Have I missed any???
Thanks and Regards James

Re: How many Lights are there?
James,
Although not on the RS CD, a couple of my platform kits have working lights, my SR semaphore signals and also John Yelland's signals have working aspect lighting (all available through downloads on UKTS). Unfortunately the lighting in RS is some what limited as there is no projected lighting effect. At the moment I have to used shaders "Tex" for lighting source and "AddATex" for replicating a reflected light. The use of both of these is explained in the RS documents.
Currently it does not appear that there are many people making scenic models, therefore I would encourage you to have go at building your own.

Re: How many Lights are there?
Thanks for the info Mark That's set me right for signalling, I will do some downloading Plus have a look at the Platform Kits. I must admit I am puzzled at the lack of lights at the windows of the Darlington Station Item. I am sure the version in the Default Route has lights but I had better check again. I don't know how many Route Builders have tried out night lighting their Routes and it would be interesting to know if they have any tips or tricks. I have thought about some 3D modelling starting with something simple when I get some time. The one thing I have noticed is the lack of Headstones and Graves for Churchyards. A rather morbid topic I supposed but we have some nice default churches which would be enhanced by these Items.
Kind Regards James.

Re: How many Lights are there?
I stand corrected Darlington Station has no lights either on the platforms or from the building windows in the Default Scenery.!!!!! Edit I have removed it from my Route and am replacing it with normal platforms and buildings which have got night lighting. Removes the need to use invisible platforms also. York and Newcastle have Lights but I would have to redo all my trackwork and make more space to include one of these. Learning from my mistakes I should have checked out Darlington in the dark first. There also seems to be no way the passengers can get to the platforms from the main entrance.
What would be nice is lofted Large Canopies that could be fitted using the offset tool. I have used the Large German Canopy on one of my Main Stations but you need to set the track layout to suit it first.
I have also discovered that if you have a section of track not displaying properly eg. one length of rail not showing on one side of the track. If you split it roughly about the middle of the faulty section then weld it back together the length of missing rail appears again.
Regards James.

Station now with full lighting. Those Clocks are tricky chaps to get right. I thought I saw a Hanging Basket of Flowers on a Screenshot somewhere but I can't find them. Are they Default Items?

Re: How many Lights are there?
You'll find them in the Foliage/Water section under "Flower Hanging Basket" - there are two types and they look good!

Thanks for that I was looking in the Clutter and Platforms sections. Never thought about Foliage. I can be a little dense at times
