Murphy said you should not rely on not winning the lottery. So I am sure that these numbers must be unique within certain parts of the asset hierarchy.

E.g., a scenario is local to a route, so if two scenarios in two different routes (albeit cloned) have the same number, no one cares about it. But if two child shapes of the same wagon have the same ID, you get a mess if there is something that refers to child shapes of that wagon.

Most of the time, there will be nothing that refers to a given entity (XML element) with an ID. But I know, e.g., that the remote track links (link 1 etc.) if signals refer to their signal by such an ID (they are stored with the track piece to which they are attached).

A full list of such relation would be valuable. But I am afraid that some people in the higher quarters are afraid of loosing control when they give it away, so it will be for us to find out about it. Same result, extra labour, thank you.

As for ideas for tools, hoho, tons of, but no time....

Adam had friday off. We unlocked his cage and let him free.
We'll round him up in time for monday.
When he has time he will get back to this thread.

Hi,
I thought I had a sand texture in my European Version but if I did it has vanished after installing the Expansion Pack. Can anyone clarify this point.
Regards James.

Nope, no sand in my vanilla Euro version (I'm waiting for the boxed expansion)
There are some rather nice pebbles for that classic English "Ow my feet!" beach experience :D

I stand corrected thanks for clarifying the point.
