Another Small Problem...

Post by ka959 »

I'm building a test rouote for my own purposes, and so far, have been getting on well with it, thanks to the great help from others out there, as well as a bit of sweat on my own part. I've saved it numerous times while switching between train and track mode etc, but have only just recently had a very annoying problem crop up, and I want to fix it if possible, as it's wasting a bit of my time rebooting and reloading.

I have a coal train of 24 EWS HTA hoppers that I ticked the properties box to make the wagons fully loaded to test the performance of the two Class 47 locos with both loaded and empty cars. But now I want to have all the cars empty so I can take the train to a newly-installed coal loader and then take it to the unloader a few miles further up the track. But when I either empty all the cars, or replace them completely, including locos, and try to save the work by exiting the editor to go back to the driving mode, there's a loud beep and the whole screen locks up. Only way to get out of this is to reboot the computer. Everythng else works just fine until I try to empty and save the train, or replace it, and save, bhen it goes down with a loud beep. Any ideas about the cause of this, or perhaps an alternative to the problem ?

Regards...

Hi Jim,

Don't have any suggestions about your lockup problem, but be aware of the TotalMass bug which effects loaded/unloaded weights when loading wagons in the Scenario Editor by checking/unchecking that box.

This post describes the bug and the workaround so you can be sure you are actually driving a loaded (weight-wise) wagon.
