The pivot points aren't exactly at 0,0 but are few mm away from the right place.

At kev, try the below link:

I think you must be getting a cached version of the file, as this is in a different location it should get around that.

Thanks
I'm still picking up the old file!!!! It's not you but almost certainly my vista installation picking up the old file from a hidden cache, somewhere on my computer. I've had this happen before and had to reinstall vista to get over the problem . Thought it had gone away, but seems like it's back :(

Would be better if you sent the file via email. I'll pm you the address if you don't already have it.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks Kev, flisk me a PM if you dont mind. I think Bremens idea of it being the pivots is likely, however not been a regular 3dC user moving them precisely to world 0 whilst not moving the part is currently beyond me...

Point lever blueprint. Think it's pretty self explanatory. It's based on the kuju example point lever. they have 2 animations defined, move.ia and move2.ia. I'm not sure why this is, so kept them and exported the same animation to both. It seems to work ok, though.

It would be very nice to have some documentation from RS on this issue.

Examples are good but explain only one way to do thing that could be made in several flavours :)

This seems to be the thread for ng folks, so I'll make no apologies for bumping it. :)

I'm fiddling with Kev Martin's NG track and finding that the weld tool does not perform as advertised in terms of making crossovers and whatnot.

Looking at Jim Ward's tutorials at steam4me - I am able to carry out all the steps he suggests using standard guage track - but not using 2'3 or 2' - all I get is nice sweeping curves.

Has anyone else encountered this, or am I just doing it wrong...?

The loco's haven't been forgotten, I'll have to see if I can get at least one of them finished.

I will be releasing a couple more. If you have a look at these links, you can see I've done a fair bit of NG modelling over the last 7 years, which probably explains why I'm having a bit of fun with some SG, at the moment :-

Mind you having just lost a days work on my current 94xx model, due to canvas corrupting the last save, I might be going back to NG sooner then I thought!

(have to say that thats the first time Canvas has done that in 7 years of use!)

Hi Kevin

When you put them all together like that it it certainly highlights your amazing output.

Are you sure there is only one of you? :D
