Gantries Height problem

Hi,
I have been using the O Gantry tool in the signal menu for placing gantries. I have discovered that the gantries are all sitting slightly above the ground level when placed this way. Just wondered how others doing this sort out this problem. ie. Leave them or set each one to ground level individually?
Thanks and Regards James.

I've not looked at gantries in particular.. but all other scenery files have a vertical offset value in the .bin file.. it would not take much to open the bin with Mikes Tools and set a value of -0.3 to drop them a foot... you would have to do each type you want to use if you are placing them individually.

But are they procedural ? there will still be a vertical offset value in there...

I think the discrepency is most likely because it is using Rail Height as its datum not ground level

Cheers
Sly

Hi Sly,
Guess I will be looking in the bin files then. You would think that when the blueprint for the Oxford Paddington Overhead Electric Track and the Overhead Gantries was produced they would match up and ground themselves. I have not checked if they do on the default Route. There are S gantries but I assumed these would be for the Seigan Route. Maybe not.
Thanks for replying Regards James.

I've also noticed there is a problem with the gantries and wire not matching up correctly, where it would seem the top wire is above the gantries hanging in mid air, is it possible to fix this?

Thanks Sly I will have a go when I get a minute and see how I go and try and get some details out. I have been wrestling with another problem tonight. The yard track for Oxford Paddington is electrified but has the same speed limits as the mainline concrete track so these have to be all set manualy unlike the Bath Yard Track which is all set to go but not overheads of course. I know I could have made another Track Rule Blueprint to sort it out but just got on with it in manual mode. I am discovering new things all the time with the modern section of this route some good some not so good.
DazDood the wires do seem a bit off in places. I have yet to try the S gantries and see if they are any better. I also checked out the default Oxford Route gantries and some are floating mainly 2 track and one track the others are on the ground. There are to many variables in this program ATM IMHO. Maybe the Upgrade will sort some of these out. However despite problems I am still enjoying building this Route.
Thanks and Regards James.
