Yet another (fantastic-looking!) reason to keep the faith in this game! Hurrah and good work guys
Kind regards

The 3D track looks superb and if you manage to create it without effecting performance would be very welcome indeed. Will keep a close eye out for it - thanks guys

This looks great indeed! Will it (or any derivative) be available for download any time soon?

Yes, very nice indeed. How does it look when used in points or crossings?

At the moment it looks like it does currently. We need coders time to draw 3d sleepers instead of quads. The ties would also have to be laid either by hand or by using the offset tool.
For us it is work in progress and while the code is fixing the artists are looking at improving as many visual stuff as we can.

Derek

I got to build a track section with 3D sleepers using the middle population geometry in the track section blueprint, it's very easy and it looks very real, but...How can I to get the same operation in junctions sections?
Population geometry only works in the main track sections but not in the junction where rendering is made by the ".cap" file.
Any idea?
Thanks.
PD: Still my english is bad, but i am improving it, I hope.

Any news on the aforementioned short piece? I'm slowly building a 1,676 3rd rail route and whilst still doing the general layout (terraforming, decals, etc) would be interested in trying to get the gauge correct from the beggining (I guess that there's no chance of changing all track from one type to another without relaying the whole thing.
Thanks,

Very interesting
What route are you planning on building?

I'm set up almost all info on the Retiro to Tigre suburban line in Buenos AIres. It's 28 km long with 17 stations. It was the first electrified railway in South America and although currently only uses *modern* (1962 vintage) EMU's it also ran Metropolitan Vickers, Birminghams and DMU's, let alone steam quite a while back. Although the track plan is currently very limited I'm planning on building it mid-70's which had yards at 6 of the stations along the line since I've got a good recollection of those times.
The second proyect which I'll get going on *if* I can get to grips with the World Editor is the "Trochita" (a.k.a. "The Old Patagonian Express") a 400 km line in the andes on 70 cm (2 feet 4 inches) track in mountain scenery and still today (what's left of it) exlusively Steam. I've already got a couple of guys who like doing steamers working on the Baldwins and Henchels.
Long way to go though

Oh right i Thought you were talking about the 3rd rail network over here in the UK. But still thats an interesting project although im not all keen on american stuff (mostly european and UK). But good luck anyway i will certainly run it the more KRS routes the better.

Well the Retiro Tigre line was british built (and british electrified). Originally by the Buenos Aires and San Fernando Railway and then becoming part of the Argentine Great Central Rlwy.
Lower quadrant 2 position semaphores
Shunting semaphore discs
Typical british railway architecture (I wouldn't know which UK railway it was based upon)
The station roof of Retiro covers 8 platfoms (and at one time also 4 sidings fited between) and was built in the UK
British built rolling stock - up until about 15 years ago that the last Metropolitan Vickers were retired.
*Not* very american

Nicholas
