Throttle control notches

I may be missing something about throttle controls, but maybe someone can help me out.

Why is it that in some engines pressing the "A" and "D" keys increments/decrements throttle levels by 20%, while in other engines the throttle control is more precise with smaller increments/decrements?

Is there any way to change the notch values of the throttle so speed can be better controlled?

BTW, I'm playing in Expert mode.

Thanks a lot.

Jev,

The throttle controls have been modelled that way to represent how they are in the real locos, although many would take issue with the number of notches RSDL implemented in the Class 66.

It is possible to alter the number of notches, or remove them all together, but this involves altering .bin files for that loco. If you download the DevDocs from the RailSimulator.com site you should get the idea. Have read through the Physics forum here as these, or similar changes, may have been discussed there.

Andy, thanks for the info, and will do.
