Disappearing locos.
I have downloaded and installed the S&D Scenario Pack, and now find that all the steam locos on the sim are missing. The tenders are still there. Can anyone help with this, please? Many thanks.

Re: Disappearing locos.
Hi
I do not have this scenario pack but if you are referring the one from the Rail Simulator official Shop then I see that it does have some scenario specific scenery included with it. I am guessing that you need to tick the developer box in the World Editor to see the scenario specific scenery which may also be linked with the loco's in some. way.
The installation instructions with the scenario will tell you this anyway so if you have already done as instructed, then I am not sure where your locos have gone. Hopefully someone else with the scenario pack will be able to provide an answer.

Thanks for your reply.
The pack is by Pendolinofan, and is a normal download from UK TrainSim - it's not from the shop. I have ticked all the developer boxes, but noticed when I did this that there was no mention of Sly's 8F locomotive in that window, which is certainly needed on this route. (I have checked and re-downloaded and installed the 8F just to make sure it's there).
Another puzzle - sometimes mention is made of deleting a blueprints.pak file if things do not show up. I have been unable to find this file - have you any idea where it should be?
Many thanks as ever,
Stuart.

I think it is probably a case where blueprints.pak needs deleting. Use Windows Explorer to simply search in C\:Program Files\Rail Simulator for all instances of blueprints.pak - it should return several instances of the file in various sub-directories. Delete ALL of them, it won't do any harm - the game will rebuild them the next time it starts.

Re: Disappearing locos.
Yes, as Paul says.
If you install anything to Rail Simulator from a .rpk file using the Rail Simulator installer, the blueprints.pak files are automatically deleted and rebuild themselves when you next start the game but other types of installation usually need the old blueprint.pak files to be manually deleted.
