Re: activity
Hi,
You ask how to create a new 'Activity'. Are you using Rail Simulator, which calls activities 'Scenarios', or are you using Microsoft's Train Simulator?
If you are using Rail Simulator, go to the Rail Simulator official website (http://www.railsimulator.com) and download the Dev Tools (development tools), and the Dev Tools Documents. You will find a tutorial on how to create Scenarios amongst the documents, and you will need the development tools to create Scenarios.
Regards from an Old Chap.

Re: activity
Hi again,
You need to go to the Rail Simulator site, register on that site, and then you will be able to access the Rail Sim official Forum and everything else.
Select the Downloads section and then look for 'RSDevTools' on the lower right hand side of the screen. Download the 'Installer', and then download the 'Docs'. You will also need to download the 'Upgrade Mk1' from the same place.
Install all these on your PC and have a look, read the Docs and see what you understand.

Hi, it's me again.
Hopefully you have downloaded and installed those three things okay. The next thing to do, and you will only need to do this once, is to double click on My Computer, Drive C, 'Program Files', and then 'Rail Simulator'.
In that folder look for a file 'RailSimEditor.exe'. Right click on that and create a short cut. Drag that short cut to your desktop.
When you put the Rail Simulator DVD into your drive, hold down the shift key to prevent it Autorunning.
Now double click on the RailSimEditor shortcut icon and carry on from there doing exactly what the tutorial documents tell you.
You have to start Rail Sim up from the Editor icon to access the full set of tools to create your new Scenario. You cannot do it successfully by letting the DVD auto-run and selecting Edit from there. We don't know why, but that is the way Rail Sim has been set up!
I hope I've explained all this okay. It seems a hassle at first sight, but you soon get used to it!
Good luck anyway.
