I bought Rail Simulator the other day. My laptop has a 120GB hard disk drive. Now I don't know why but it appears to be split in two.
Screenshot of My Computer
Drive A had little room left so I thought I'd install it into Drive D. I created a folder called Program Files and then started installing Rail Simulator and it when well, but after I when into D/Program Files and created a shortcut to Rail Simulator on the desktop I couldn't get it started. So I deleted some files, then uninstalled Rail Simulator and tryed again.
Then after I inputted to serial number on the back on the manual, nothing else happened. Have I just wasted £19.99?

Re: Ruined Installation
You can try to copy the contents of the dvd to a folder on your d drive and run the install from there. It has worked for others that have reported that problem.

Re: Ruined Installation
Clearly something is since I installed my Rail Simulator to the D: drive. It automatically created a desktop shortcut as far as I recall and works perfectly well from the D: drive.
Kindest regards

In Vista the icon is created in the games explorer instead of the desktop. If you go to the games explorer and right click on the game you can then add it to quick launch and move it from there to the desktop if you want.Easilyconfused wrote:Clearly something is since I installed my Rail Simulator to the D: drive.
