I made a copy of Bath Templecombe by creating a new route with it as a template , and then copying the Contents folder into the new blank directory.
Everything is there OK , along with all the scenarios etc ... but .... no way to 'jump' around by selecting the destinations from the flyout box on the right hand side of the screen.
Anybody got any ideas ?
As an aside , I think that RS is superb - a few bugs yes , but frankly I'd pay the 36 quid or so for just the Somerset rout alone.
If anyone is interested in the real route , there's a whole set of old OS maps here http://www.somerset.gov.uk/archives/map ... m/2902.htm
( this tile starts at Midsomer Norton ) , and it's pretty easy to follow the whole route from Bath to Templecombe and beyond.
Printing each page makes an interesting way to follow the journey with a train.

Re: Copying a route
Haven't tried it yet, but can't think of any reason why the clone wouldn't work the same way, unless;
1. "then copying the Contents folder into the new blank directory"
You mean copying the contents of the \Rail Simulator\Content\Routes\00000002-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\ folder? If you copied the entire \Rail Simulator\Content\ folder into your new route's \Rail Simulator\Content\Routes\abcd1234whateveritis\ folder, don't think that would work.
2. Latitude/longitude locations in the routes.xml file don't match between Bath and the clone, might need to manually hack the routes.xml file to get the coordinates to match for jumping.

Re: Copying a route
Someone encounted this very problem a couple of months ago and I haven't spotted a solution yet unless someone can post with the correct method.spelman wrote:no way to 'jump' around by selecting the destinations from the flyout box on the right hand side of the screen.
Kind regards, Paul.
