Is there a way to alter the colour of the water in RS ?
It always looks too turquoise in the simulator, but seems more normal in some of the screenshots.

Re: Water Colour
The water appears turquoise when water detail is set to low. By selecting a higher level of detail in the graphical options will make water resemble what you've seen in other screenshots.spelman wrote:Is there a way to alter the colour of the water in RS ?

Kind regards, Paul.

Re: Water Colour
Also, it depends on the colour of the terrain under the water.
"Home 8. Dined and worked. Planning conquest of Iceland for next week. Shall probably be too late! Saw several broods of ducklings." Alexander Cadogan, end of diary entry for May 4, 1940.

Also the season will have an effect as well. Looking at my pic' above you can see I've used the Rock texture under all of the water which is ok untill you change the season to winter then it turns a streaky white as you can see the snow under it. Although with a bit of imagination it could be the "white Caps" on the waves.

Re: Water Colour
I agree that the water is not as good as it could be, yes that care needs to be taken in what texture is sprayed under the surface.
The highlights do need to go lighter rather than darker in the distance.

Re: Water Colour
To be honest Derek I think the water is brilliant compared with what I was using with MSTS.RSderek wrote:I agree that the water is not as good as it could be, yes that care needs to be taken in what texture is sprayed under the surface.

Using Kosmos made things better (see pic) but did'nt have the depth that RS offers.
I am more than happy with the results I get .
PS. No I'm not knocking MSTS, if it wasn't for MSTS I wouldn't be enjoying RS as much.
