how do I change the points?

Hi - I suspect this is a really dumb question, but it is driving me nuts! I'm in the world editor adding locos, and stock to the free roaming Templecombe to Bath route, and I want to change some of the points so that they will be set that way every time I start the scenario. Is this possible, if so how on earth do I do it?
Cheers
Chris

If it's a dumb question then I'm dumb as well and would be interested in the answer.
Searching 'point' on here would no doubt see many results and the answer somewhere but where?
Was going to try to see if there was a way of building them that the defualt position was the way I wanted it.
There must be logic to it somewhere and a default direction even if it's not much use

Hi John - its good to see I'm not the only one stumped by this, I've searched all the posts on points and it looks as though no one has cracked this one yet. A patch to enable you to run from the Y direction without derailing would be better than nothing wouldn't it (I'm sure msts let you do this?)

You're not alone on this Chris, would be very handy to set up the route how you want it. As it is, each time I play a route I'm looking for known junctions that are set against me - takes away from the game I must say.

Hi,
I have just cracked how to change the three-way points in Radstock yard at the exit from the loco shed. Click the lever once and wait to see the blades change, then click the same lever again and wait for the second set of blades to change.
When I left the yard with a 47 and milk tankers to go towards Evercreech, the signal near the bridge was at red. I went by it and found the crossover 'slip' points were against me, but I went straight through them (couldn't stop!) without being chucked out of the scenario! Same thing at Chilcompton, the signal at the end off the platform was at red and a set of points just ahead against me. Again I went straight through them without the scenario ending.
If I run through any points in any of the yards or sidings though I am always derailed and thrown out of the scenario without fail. Strange! I am using a lap-top though!
regards from an Old Chap.

No comment gents uh????
The funny thing that ive just noticed is that the signals dont show red like thay do in trs 2006 and TC when the points are in the wrong places to wich means the signal is signalling green go derail your train?
Or is it my rubbish signalling? lol.

I believe this is mostly about how to change a point while in the World Editor, not in driving mode. Changing points in driving mode is easy, but how do you do it in World Editing mode (especially if the point is automatic, so there is no lever)? I believe you should be in the scenario mode. Which means you can do it only for free-roaming scenarios (at least before November 12th, only one more week from now (sigh)).
