Offer information available

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Did the promotional code work? The official word is 'The offer is active from 8am GMT on Friday 12 June 2009.'

Hello Paul
I am guessing here that those who have opted for Steam delivery of Railworks, have merely downloaded the client.
Of course I stand to be corrected upon the promotion code etc
I am guessing that this will come into play upon completion on Friday.
Kind regards Stephen

You could be right. I was assuming a pre-order/pre-download for activation 8am on the dot scenario.

Make sure to remember your password and also if you change the e-mail address you used with steam, be sure to update that too before you forget. If you forget these (username/password and change e-mail address) you maybe locked out of your account and games!

Not trying to scare anyone, just re-iterating how crucial this is :).

Anyway....Looking forward to 12am PST :). I'll get to download RW during work hours, how cool is that?

What will you first do? Run the sim and check out whats different? Or start seeing how to get 3rd party assets and not quite so 3rd party assets such as IOW over?

This may seem counter intuitive but I will read the docs first and then run it and then look at getting other content in if there isn't a auto transfer.

Yet again, we are speculating. Top marks for those who manage expectations.
