Hey All
I am aware that the rail simulator site is currently being tweaked and whatnot but could Derek or anyone in the know give an indication of when we will be able to purchase things from the shop again (I'm assuming this will Friday due to the release of RailWorks) but could anyone confirm.
Incidentally given the new content in Railworks will any of the free downloads such as the extra liveries for some of the default stock or things such as the foliage pack be built into Railworks or will we need to download/purchase separately?
Cheers
Daz

Re: Rail Simulator Shop? & Small Question About RW
It's an interesting question about the on-line shop. Will it be increasingly Steam driven? How will DVD box set users get new on-line only RSC content without having to sign up to Steam?
I hope the foliage pack and IOW assets (not the route) are included in the RW release. It would help reduce dependencies on a lot of routes.

The value of your investments may go up as well as down.

They confirmed that only the US/UK routes from the split release would be included with RW. Everything else (foliage, IOW, etc) will still be payware. I'd direct you to thread on their forums, but...

I did read that all the extra free downloads for RS are included in RW by default. The reason why the payware stays payware is that it would not be fair to those who had purchased them. Also from what Derek said the shop will be back but they need to update the install packages to take into account RW.

This is good to know as there are some routes, in my case, which I would like to down load assets for from the RW shop.
