york to newcasle route

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

It would be helpful if you explained what you mean by "I can't edit........."?

I did a complicated new scenario for the NY route, my first one with RS. Took me a couple of weeks .. maybe 50 hours to complete it. I can't count the number of times RS crashed while saving changes. It was extremely frustrating.

What I learned is to save frequently. In other words, make a small change, save it immediately. Also, if you alter the timing of an AI train or create a new one, give RS a chance to compute the change as it affects the timings/paths other AI traffic -- then save. I'd wait like 20 seconds or something before saving an AI change.

Also, back up your route folder every hour or two in case RS completely FUBARs the route you're working on.
