Railworks

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Railworks

Post by RiscaStation »

Hi

Just read the notice on the Rail simulator site, as well as here, that the "RailWorks" will be £39.99.
There is no mention of an upgrade at a reduced price for current users of "Rail Simulator".
I know it was mentioned in an earlier posting, any ideas from anyone on this?

Regards
Mike

Nothing has been given particularly firm yet such as what the price will be (afaik?), whether it's electronic only or available on a box version too and so forth. But, they've said it *will* happen so I'd just be patient and relax, we'll find out closer to the time I'm sure.

RSDL has repeatedly mentioned providing discounts to RS 1 users and they tend to stick to their word so as Matt suggests I'd wait and see but there should not be a problem.

Hi,

Thank you both for your comments, as you say I will have to wait and see.

This thread has just got me thinking...

I assume the discount will only be made via purchases from the RS website. If i remember correctly they didn't accept normal debit cards on their own, just via paypal and credit cards. Which is why i ended up buying IoW from amazon rather than their site. So for someone like me, who doesn't need/want paypal how would i manage to get a possible discount?

Same answer as before. Wait and see. There are no facts about the discount or how to pay for RW. But im sure, that we'll all know more within the next 14 days
