I think we all hope that's the case, but a static screenshot doesn't prove anything. We know that several of the screenshots were staged (static figures added) and there's nothing in this shot to say that the man, his dog and the car aren't just static scenery objects added for effect.Ooveecouk wrote:I think the latest screenshot clearly indicates that cars now stop at crossings - hopefully that's true as I found the urge to apply the emergency brakes before...

Re: Railworks screenshots
As i said before, it does say it's offline for routine maintenance... why do people have to speculate when the apparent answer is in front of them.benkda01 wrote:Currently RS.com is offline. Could that mean website update for RW...?
I also wonder why posts have to be made just to say the website is down, websites go offline all the time, doesn't mean we all have to panic and tell everyone... remember when fotopic went down for a couple of days a short while back... didn't take long for the rumours to start that it was apparently closing down did it.

Though you may be right its mainly because nearly every time the site has done that it was due to them changing/adding something new.kieranhardy wrote:As i said before, it does say it's offline for routine maintenance... why do people have to speculate when the apparent answer is in front of them.benkda01 wrote:Currently RS.com is offline. Re: Railworks screenshots
I didn't panic, but since RW is due to be released in 2 days' time, I thought it appropriate to mention that there is something going on on the homepage.kieranhardy wrote:I also wonder why posts have to be made just to say the website is down, websites go offline all the time, doesn't mean we all have to panic and tell everyone...
Re: Railworks screenshots
Indeed. Just when I was getting my head round the concept of RailWorks being a common platform that would do away with the complications of the two previous separate releasestheokus wrote:I have questions but I remain silentCaptScarlet wrote:

Re: Railworks screenshots
To paraphrase RSDL/RS.com for the past few months...Official BNSF locomotives available exclusively to the Steam Download of Rail Simulator 2: RailWorks
"This time round, everyone will get the same version to avoid the issues of last time"
*slaping forehead smiley required*
I've been a pretty vocal supporter of RS.com and where they want to take RW eventually, even if it's beginnings are just RS+. And I know marketing, yadda yadda, but I REALLY don't think this is good idea before we've even started.
"Hey, did you try that awesome new scenario by XYZ?"
"Nope, I bought the DVD version so I don't have the right stock. Hoping they'll release them in 6 months for everyone like they did with the Game ones last time"
Re: Railworks screenshots
Exclusive doesn't mean, that any has another version than other. They have something exclusive, just like those, who bought some payware.

Re: Railworks screenshots
The shot is nice but needs _a lot_ more darker stencil shadows. Have they weathered the shadow effect even more since KRS?
