Hello all,
Firsly, apologies for asking a question that i suspect has been asked many times before. In a nutshell, there are some very nice and useful buildings available for MSTS that would look great in RS. Specifically, the LMR Type 15 signal boxes. Is there any way that these assests can be converted or modified to enable their use in the World editor function in RS??
Many thanks, James

Re: Converting MSTS files to Rail simulator
The short answer is NO.
However, if you have the original construction files, eg either TSM or 3DC, then it can be done, as I did for the semaphore signal kits.

Re: Converting MSTS files to Rail simulator
If you built the models yourself, or have access to the original author's source files in 3D Canvas (and probably TSM) then it is a fairly simple matter to export the models to Rail Simulator.
If you only have the base model then it is not possible. However, even if you do not have the original source, it should be easy enough for you to purchase a copy of 3DC and build a model to the same dimensions as the original MSTS one and use the same texture file (with the author's permission).
