Fair to mention that some of the "random" events they talk about as a possibility for Rail Simulator (random signal checks, adverse events, random TSR's etc) were standard features in the old Train Driver 3 programme albeit with slightly less pretty graphics. Single line working could be done now in the Scenario editor albeit without animated handsignalmen etc., to see you back over the crossover and not sure how the AI would interface with it.
