Class 25 sounds now available!

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Thanks for sorting out the download link problem. There's no need to apologise. We were just pointing out the problem, not making a complaint. You are, after all, kind enough to make your work available for us all to share. I'll install it soon. Thanks.

I think this should be uploaded to UKTS also. That will be most helpful.

Nice job on the sounds Nikos :D It makes a nice change to see freeware sounds available, and not forgetting the nice freeware loco to compliment them,do you have any plans to upload to UKTS?It just goes to show even releasing a model without cab/sounds what can be done in the freeware domain, top job to all involved.

They do sound wonderful, even a dyed in the wool steam man like myself can appreciate that. Great job, they make the rat even more fun!

Without doubt, these are excellent. I dont know how loud the real rat was, but honestly I dont care. It sounds right, and howls its guts in protest at having to haul even a minor consist over the mendips. You really have made the most of the model by coming up with these sounds.

Only one minor criticism, I could do with the horn sound being a tad louder. When you have the throttle all the way open its a bit difficult to hear it!

Excellent work.

Thank's everyone for these great comments, i didnt think these sounds would be this popular! Glad you all are enjoying them :)
I will upload it to UKTS soon, i just want to make sure there's no additional changes that need to be made first.
stuart666: Yes i see what you mean, i will try and beef up the horn and reupload.
KeithBridges: Did you install the Class 25 first? If you install the sounds first and the 25 afterwords they will not work.

Nikos - really good effort with these, really taken the model on another stage. Well done and thanks for making them available.

Keith - I had this, I'm running the Windows 7 beta, but I suspect it might be the same in Vista, probably due to permissions. What I did was copy the folder from the zip and paste in manually into the relevant folder, then delete the blueprint files manually too, and it worked straight away. Hope you get it sorted as it's definately worth it!

Hi, for my own use, I dropped the Horn Wav into Wave studio and made it stereo, it is now a bit more robust & less muffled - haven't done any other mods to it though - I'm having fun annoying the people on cinder lane with it!!!
Engine sounds really good - thanks for a great effort and quick too!
