DT GWR 61xx

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

This is a truly excellent model. The only critcism I might make is that its a little dark. For example, even turning up the brightness settings in game to about 33, the wheels still dont show up very well, despite the wheels and bogies of the Mk1 coaches its pulling doing so. I would have thought it a problem with might computer, except most of the other addons ive put on it (particularly the Collett 2200 and King Class) show up with no problem with shadows. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Other than that, it handles very well, and the model is gorgeous. Keep up the good work.

Yes, I did notice she's a bit dark, we're doing some skins later, so we can address the issue then. I'm glad you like her, took me a while to get right.

Had a drive with her on the SVR on my laptop yesterday and didn't notice anything really different about the smoke, is it the fact that it's nearly transparent, whereas I think the smoke on the 5MT and 7F is more of a light grey cloud when stationary?

If so then yes I guess it is new.

Maybe it just seems different to me as I use the default smoke, as I find it annoying not being able to turn of steam smoke, and had the odd trouble installing smoke.

First in a series of many, I hope. Glad you like her, by the by, all, a modified version is up, a little lighter, for those who think she's too dark.
