Class 25

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Just a little note about class 25's. Most of them weren't fitted with train heating apparatus, so if you are using them on winter trains your passengers are going to get very cold!

Great sounds, Nikos.

Best wishes,

Nice to see more models for RS but to be completely honest I'm not sure about the cab on that 25. :-?
No offence to the author but to my eyes something doesn't look quite right with the windows.
Perhaps the model will be revised/improved for the payware version?

Keep the models coming though!

The class 25 uses default 47 cab and sounds until payware version is available.

The cab window shape is an issue we're already aware of, and will be fixed for the Payware release. This model is from about a year ago, we've come on a fair way since then, so the payware version will bear little resemblance to this one...

Take a look at Oovee.co.uk and their forums. A great site and friendly forum with free downloads.

Tor-K. If I may also ask a question. If you press number 4 for drive past view. As the engine is some way from you I could see a large black sqaure at the front in place of the yellow front. Maybe I should take a screenshot if you require.

It is a lovely model also even if its 12 months old. I love the engine sound it sounds even more powerful than the deltic.

An excellent vehicle, enhanced even more by Nikos' sounds. Nice one.

Thanks Everyone,
Glad you like the sounds, they should be available once i get the permission of two of the authors of the original soundclips on youtube, already have permission for most of the sounds. Richard has also managed to get the startup working so a big thanks to him. :)
Yes the horn is two tone but unfortunately neither me or Richard can get it to loop. If someone can find or record a 25 horn that is loopable that would be great.
And dont worry its summer, the passengers have to keep the windows down, makes things a little loud though

Hi Simon and all reading this post
I suspect the black square appearing on the front warning panel is due to the Class 25 being a low poly model
I doubt this will occur on the payware model, which has already been stated will be to a higher standard
Kind regards Stephen
