The Digital Traction vote.

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

All our payware locos will have a cab and sound system. The freeware models won't, and are just intended as testers. However, the freeware models will have proper physics files, because I personally like to play trains with my locos, and I like them to work properly. Our first two releases will be freeware diesels, and we then intend to really get shifting and get things out to you asap. Sounds take a while, as do cabs, which is why we're giving you something to play with in the interim.

Cabs have go to be the most challenging thing now for rail simulators. I can well appreciate the complexities and skills required to make a good looking cab.

Definitely the 20 and 25 for me. As impressive as the steamers look, they just dont do it for me. At one point I was getting concerned that this was becoming Rail Museum Simulator :D . RSDL's 66 and David Hossack's beautiful reskin work have redeemed RS for me.

EDIT: Wasn't there a 40 in production at one point?

Yes don't panic there is one - just hasn't been included with the list of renders. Might even be the other free diesel that DT will release very soon.

All the kettles and diesels. Not too sure about the 87 though, as there won't be a UK route to run it on!

One of my projects is converting the German route to look more wcml as much as possible so the 87 would be welcome.

Glad that's cleared up. :)

Mind you, the 87s are now going to Bulgaria, so the German route could pass off as Bulgarian...

The Standard 4 Tank, Unrebuilt Bulleid, B1 & Ivatt tank have to be the top ones for me.

On my wish list i would have to choose a Bulleid rebuilt Merchant Navy, rebuilt light pacific, M7, Standard 5, Standard 3MT tank, J15 and an N7. Not too many... :P
