Dependencies

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Dependencies

Post by edsolis »

Hello,

After installing a new route, in the Routes.xml file you can see which Provider/Product are preloaded, but how to find out which objects are required?

Cheers,

Hi

The objects required in a route will normally be listed in the readme file which is uploaded with the route (on UKTS at least) but you can find out if you missing anything by using Mike Simpson's Tools - http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info. ... leid=18194

Read the help file and it will tell you how to check a route or scenario and any missing objects will be listed.

Thank you, Acorncomputer. Although I had used the RS_Tools as xml/bin editor, marker converter, etc. I hadn't used its check route tool yet. Very useful.

Also keep in mind that you do not need all the assets for the route to work, although it will look a bit plain if you only have a few of the required assets.
