Hi, Of course we have been reading the threads but it is not our place to say anything.
Most of the early posts were unconfirmed and the future of their products are still uncertain.
We have nothing but sympathy for the guys involved, everyone at RSDL has been there at some stage.
However from personal experiance i'm sure the majority of the team will be cherry picked by other studios and I hope for the best for them all.
regards
Derek

Hi Michael
The ball's in your court (actually that is not a bad name for any loco).Silver Lining? Sounds like a good name for a shunting engine...

Re: Silver Lining..
To be honest i dont think MSTS2,s demise will have any impact on the future of train simming,if released, its was going to have to compete with all the other sims out there, especially MSTS1,which has a large following, and who would not have been tempted away, with all that that entailed,ie starting from scratch, learning new programs and methods, and for UK users starting with almost zero uk content,MSTS2 was not going to be a very attractive prospect,at least for a few years,MSTS1 will still IMHO be around in 10 years time and more.
RS is a breath of fresh air, with new content creators, route building has been opened up to the masses, and developer support and help, which is crucial to ongoing development, not only for RSDL! but the whole community, there are not many places like this were you can ask a developer a question about a commercial product, and get a straight answer, the guys from RSDL have always been here to help people from the day RS was released, and are active members of this forum.
So i think we do not need a silver lining as far as RS is concerned its doing very well thank you, long may it continue,my only plea is, please dont let the mud slinging and blood letting that seems to have erupted on the MSTS2 section, spill over to here.
Best regards
Kevin
