Just to let you all know, a new freight-themed scenario pack for the Newcastle to York route has been released at http://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com.

I'm glad you posted about them as I'm pretty new to the community and I don't really know all the usual sites yet.
These packs seem to be really good value - I've bought three packs including this latest and am very much looking forward to playing them. So a big thank-you from me!

Yes I have purchased two of the packs and I have found them very satisfying. Not just running under green lights but plenty of adverse signals so that you have to concentrate. I am in the process of getting back onto the site to buy some more of the packs. Keep them coming Richard.
When I first bought MSTS back when it was published in 2001 I tended to lose interest after the first flush of excitement. I ignored it for several months until I found this site and The Mideast route which really caught my imagination although it was only a rough replica of the East Coast Route. MSTS then went from strength to strength. It has, so far, been similar with RS as after the first few months messing around on it I got bored and did not run it for several months. This time though I kept an eye on this site and recently picked up on Richard's Scenerio packs which, as I have already said, I find very enjoyable.
Although I produced several Activities for MSTS I have not yet ventured into Scenerio writing.
The only difference between activities and scenerios has been that the MSTS ones were generally free whilst as far as I can see there are very few free RS scenerios so we are having to pay this time if you want them. I am not complaining as six scenerios provide plenty of entertainment, getting on for 5 hours, so £1.00 an hour is not bad for value though others may not agree. Usual market forces if you do not want to pay you do not have to buy them.

Nice set of scenarios Richard, thanks for putting them together. Shame the HST doesn't have a front coupler available for the rescue scenario.
Only found one problem so far, piccie attached.

Looks uncomfortable. The advenza 47 is fine, any ideas?
Ta!

Hmm, is there a possibility you left a minute or two between it being loaded and actually starting? If you leave it too long, the points may change for the next London-bound service.

That's quite possiblephat2003uk wrote:Hmm, is there a possibility you left a minute or two between it being loaded and actually starting? If you leave it too long, the points may change for the next London-bound service.
Re: New Scenario Pack from The Armstrong Powerhouse
Ta, all fixed, thanks for the quick response, excellent as always. Only one question left and think it's an east one. In the NXEC grey HST, the buffet car is still blue. I assume this is because the buffet car repaints are still troublesome??phat2003uk wrote:Sorry about that, yet another version of the extra stock has been uploaded which should fix the problem!
