Raildriver and Rail Simulator Not working

Hi,
I'm trying to get RailDriver to work in RS but not much joy on it.
XP.
nvidia latest driver.
Intel DUO 8500 3.16
4gb Corsair ram.
I have the latest RDriver driver.

During the install of RS I get the error
"Cannot write to \Plugins\RailDriver.dll." This I think because the config file is not pointing to the correct location
of the RailDriver.dll. I found how to fix that one.

I also get a load of errors in the AngelScript and Rail Driver, from what I have read this is a bug in the RD driver.

All I can do is operate these:
Horn and
Wiper
I move the levers and get the sounds but thats all.

Reading the forums it seems that the latest drivers are not up to much but the RCanditate works.
In a few links that I got in forums that I tried to the RDriver website the RC has been removed.

Does anyone know where I could get it please

In the past 2 weeks I have filled in a report on this problem twice with no replies at all.

ok to start with, go to the rail driver directory, then go into XKeys devices, then into vid05f3pid00d2 (the folder second to the top), then find report config, go to the bottom of the file, where it says #path to Raildriver.dll, and underneath that it should give a location to where the raildriver.dll is suposed to be, change it from plugins\raildriver.dll to c:\program files\rail simulator\plugins\raildriver.dll (or wherever your rail simulator directory is) for more info try http://www.x-keys.com/faq/content/30/62 ... lator.html

My very sincere apologies because, although I usually check my post before submitting it, I really messed that one up,
I forgot to say that I did modify the file that you posted about.
I'm very sorry for that.

The Rail Driver people are not keen to answer reports that users post in their website. I got my RailDriver hardware
in Contact Sales so as RDriver did not reply to my reports I contacted Contact Sales if they could help.
A gentleman phoned me and offered ideas that I had already tried, but, when I told him I had tried to contact Rail Driver and
got no replies he said he would contact them and find out why they did not reply.

Surely the RailDriver people would have the Release Candidate driver.
It seems that that is the only solution to the problem.

Would anyone have that RC driver and would it be possible to send it to me as an attachment please, I would very much appreciate it.

I "think" I got it fixed, well, it worked on the last try an hour ago but will it continue to work ?

I still have a copy of the RC, if your problems return.
I would have sent it in a PM to you but I dont seem to be able to add attachments to my PMs, for some reason.

Mine still isn't working. I've tried the plugin\raildriver.dll thing to what its meant to be but It wont save! I click the red x it says would you like to save yes. I tryy agen and the error comes back up. I go to check the file thing and its changed back! Any ideas! ITS DRIVING ME MAD

Why don't you save it to your desktop then copy and paste and overwrite the original , just an idea.
