ERROR on selecting RS

Hi,
when selectig icon for RS ON Windows I get two messages come up, after clicking ok on both I can then proceed as normal on RS.message as below.

it has no ill effect on running RS and can carry on as normal,just wondering what it means

The first one is something about the graphics, I guess. Like some feature in it not being up to what KRS wants, or similar. Normally you see it when you run it on insufficient (graphics) hardware. You are the first one who reports seeing it and still using the game without problems. (Cheers to that ...)

The other one reminds me a bit at what I see at times when I do stupid things like messing up XML files, introducing script typos or such. Have you touched any files? Sometimes, there is some character that KRS or serz don't like but you don't see it (like different line end mark-up, but most of the time it is at least fatal for that file, so maybe look around if you miss something (all the routes there, all the scenarios there, any objects missing?)

Fine, if you do not perceive a problem, but I would try to get rid of it in the medium run.

I'd tend to agree with Andy here, in fact in the majority of cases (99.9%), you can guarrantee that the graphics card is not up to the job! The fact you can then just accept the error and continue to run RS is a first for me, and I suspect RSDL!! Can you say what gfx card you have??

The second error is a little more "global", in that it can point to missing stock, scenery etc .... so I guess, check this area first.

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX. scree resolution set 1280x1024
multi sample type 16 .monitor arrangement 1x1,full screen ticked ,25" ACER
RailSim V84.7a, getting good fps, good graphics and smooth running,checked stock and assories none seems to be missing includes all my routes.

Oh, this will certainly run RS ok, but you have picked the single most problematic card in the history of RS for some reason, and most of the problems all came down to drivers or settings!!

I run ATI unfortunately, but there are at least a couple of expert's here - "Capt.Scarlet" and "djt1".

That having been said, ensure that you have the "AA" setting for the card, to be controlled by the program, but I have no knowledge of the rest of them unfortunately.

You may want to PM these guys, they are both very helpful.

my past problem on selecting RS,has solved its self out,could be since upgrading Kickstart ?.while on the forum I would like to thank all connected to RS for all the routes,loco s ect,.
RS is my life line as I don:t get out much these days so spend many hours running trains and adding items on my routes,once again many thaks to all
