Arrghhh!!

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

At least you have got your priorities right in the current financial climate.
Most people are struggling to stay a float and keep a roof over their head etc.
MSTS is still supported and there is lots of content available for it.
It will take a while before Rail Simulator has the same amount of content if it ever does?
Things are starting to pick up a little bit now for Rail Simulator but it will take time.
Two routes that I miss from MSTS are Lydbrook Junction and Westvale.
Good luck and kind regards Stephen
Hi Stephen :) Yes you are right, while i'd love to go out and get upgrades for my PC and play Rail Sim the way it was intended, I think a better choice right now would be to play MSTS and the added bonus is that it has a lot of support and routes which Rail Sim doesen't have yet. Sure Rail Sim is getting more and more routes but as you say, MSTS has lots of routes and at least with MSTS I know it will work on my new PC and possibly even on my old PC.

There's now law against running both MSTS and RS

Hi Gary
No there is no law against having both MSTS and Rail Simulator, but I donated my MSTS discs to the East Lancashire Railway.
I decided to give the new sim a chance when I purchased a new computer.
Perhaps one day Gary you may consider bringing your Westvale Route to Rail Simulator I know this is probrably a big ask but it would be a welcome addition to Rail Simulator.
Kind regards Stephen.

I see :) I'm sorry to say that I have no immediate plans to do an RS version of Westvale :(
