15.45 oxford to paddington Scenerio

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

15.45 oxford to paddington Scenerio

Post by markpullinger »

Hi, Just had a play with this one and it was going great until leaving Slough & got sideswiped by a 166 unit and scenerio ended - first time I've ever been in a loco cab on it's side! One other query - when I left the carriage sidings the doors on the NSE coaches were in the coach - but after the stop at Oxford they were hovering over the coach. They were in the correct position but a couple of metres too high - open and shut correctly though above the coach. Are the files that need copying from default the ones that come with the MK2 coach fix - as I used the prepatch ones?

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear about your problems at Slough, I remember this being a dodgy place for the signalling in this scenario. :(. Also, I think that maybe the mk2 coach fix does have to be applied to the NSE ones as well but it's not something I'm sure of.

Thanks, It is a good scenario - just had to remember to drive the train as well as watching all the services go by! I will try copying the newer files to see if that cures the flying door syndrome!

Edit flying doors fixed - thanks for info - now running a bit earlier to see if I can beat that suicidal 166 driver!

Hi, I think I might have to reinstall it again, running a lot faster meant I broke the distance to next station monitor - it was still showing 0.8 miles to slough 5 when I got to Paddington! 1st time when the 166 hit me , I had been diverted onto the slow lines but by going a lot faster, I stayed on the fast. Not sure which is correct - I suspect the 1st. Will try an in between speed later,

It would appear the dispatcher kept you on the fast lines even though it's supposed to put you onto the slow lines to reach Slough 5, consequently, you never reached Slough 5.

The dispatcher put me in slough 3 not 5 then the snow and fog but ended up in Paddington 8 as requested.

Ah, ok guys, help me out, I'm having a mental block after a stag do in Edinburgh destroyed most of my brain cells....

I've installed all the required add-ons, and the scenario starts fine (no errors) but all I have is an NSE 47 and a front coupling of a rake of entirely invisible coaches.

What have I done wrong? Done the usual blueprint.pak stuff, and have the NSE folders in my passenger folder has per the instructions......

I have a feeling some copying over of files maybe required for the Mk2s to work, check the readme.

hi mate i have the same problem and it is because i didn't copy over the files, i was worried about breaking something, it would be very helpful if people used the package manager to upload content, while i am competant enough to follow instructions and place the folders i would rather not have to do it,

cheers

Unfortunately the uploader in question couldn't use the packager due to the files being in the 'Kuju' bit of the folder and due to copyright issues, files have to be copied over.

Forgive my ignorance but what is supposed to be wrong in the screenshot you have posted, all my CL47's have Brake Gauges like those shown? Left one Main Reserve and the right one Bogie 1 & 2.

fixed it - I had indeed missed out copying 3 required files that I found when I read the readme properly. Just got to Reading and got a red just outside the station, stayed a bit, nowt happened. So pressed [tab] and got permission to proceed, went past the signal and the emergency brakes went on. Reckon I was too impatient?

Anyway, great scenario so far, really enjoying it, lots of nice AI traffic too, thanks for putting it together.....
