Is there an official bug fix list?

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Regarding brakes, I think that having to completely release the brakes then reapply to effect a reduction in braking is typical of air brakes used, at least until recently if not still, in North America. Perhaps someone with real world experiance could clarify this.

If RSDL cant or wont comment on whats being done to fix them then theres simply no point persevering with the game.
The only alternative is for RSDL to make avialable to the Rail community sufficient information about the game so that the
users can try and fix the bugs themselves, or at least figure out some work arounds so that the game can keep going.
For example , with the stuck AI train bug, even if it cant be determined whats causing the bug, at least simply automatically
delete the offending AI train from the world so the game keeps going.
Same goes for bugs like "Game over because AI train has left its path".
Why does the game end simply because of this , again simply delete the offending AI train and let the scenerio continue.
I don't know if this will help you but this is what RSadam said today on the RSDL forum. I hope he doesn't mind me reposting it.

We are aware of occurances that can cause the AI to stall. This is effectively when the trian looses what it is suppose to be doing. We have not fixed the dispatcher yet because the issues were not trivial and required a large amount of investigation as well as combining the findings with feedback from the community. These efforts were further delayed by being unable to get the coder responsible for the Dispatcher back on site to get his direct input and assistance.

However for Upgrade Mk3 we will be making efforts to address the dispatcher problems.

I don't have real world experience of North American trains but seeing as no one else has replied yet......
As far as I know you are right as far as air brakes on US Freight trains go, I've seen references to this subject on the various forums here and elsewhere and they support that. Some US Passenger trains may have the same system, but I believe that others are more like UK and European trains in that they have systems where partial or graduted release is possible. No doubt googling the subject will give you a lot more info than I can.
