RS Install Sequence

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Hey,

I'm pretty sure i read from RS itself that it is best to Install RS, then MK1 and then install your add-ons and then install MK2.

Thanks!

Why not follow the official advice here? http://www.railsimulator.com/upgrade_mk2_readme_en

As you will see the point at which you install your addons seems to depend on when you got them.

This is what Worked for me

Clean Install ....Mk1 upgrade then MK2 upgrade ...then Dev Tools....

Both sequences worked on Vista 32bit and Win XP 32bit

Any deviation from the above led to errors...(i tried ,because i wanted to be sure )

Cheers
