Hi everyone,
I'm trying to download the Cajon Pass route from railsimulator website, its all paid for and it downloads fine. The problem is when it tries to install into RS I get an error message saying its not compatible.
I run the European version along with some freeware routes from this site plus two of my own routes and both the Mk1 & 2 upgrades. I've downloaded plenty of stuff since mark 2 and had no problems, but with it being a route designed before the Mk2 patch, could it be conflicting?
And how the hell do I go about making it work?, uninstalling Mk2?, uninstalling the whole game?
Anyone else had this problem?
Kind Regards
Ant

Ant,
Incompatibility with Mk2 might be the problem, the Mk2 Readme on the RailSim site here: http://www.railsimulator.com/upgrade_mk2_readme_en mentions that:

I suppose it depends whether or not RSDL updated it to be compatible before you downloaded it. Only way to be sure other than going through the hassle of removing Mk2 to try it is to ask RailSim support.Any Rail Simulator Addon purchased BEFORE the August 2008 may not be compatible if installation is attempted after applying Upgrade Mk2.

I remember reading that now when I upgraded to Mk2. Thanks for the reply Andy, can't access the FAQ on RSDL site at the mo so I think I'll email them.
Thanks

Re: Downloading Cajon Pass addon
I installed cajon after mk2 upgrade (but from disc so thats probably no help at all) with no problem

Re: Downloading Cajon Pass addon
Scratch it! Its now working! Yay!
Thought I'd save it to the desktop for now as you lose it every time it fails. Started it from there and it works!
For future reference, if anyone has the same problem all you need to do is SAVE the file to somewhere - I have a Rail sim folder on my desktop that everything goes to - instead of opening the file staight to RS as with the Class 66 addon. Then all you do is run the setup program, install the licence and it will do the rest.
Most of you probably know this already but I thought it may help if you get the same error msge I did.
Thanks for the replies guys
