AI Shunting

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

-Show3DPaths: shows with blue lines and blue 3d hexagons in the main 3d view the path of one (and only one) train. User cannot select which train has its path shown. Unclear how programme decides.

-followaitrain - disables keyboard controls for driving trains. Was probably intended to allow players to follow trains when being driven by the AI, but never implemented.

This is a guess but perhaps if you combine -allowjump and -Show3DPaths it might show the trains path you have jumped too ?

-allowJump - allows train jumping in standard scenarios. Has no effect on free roam or timetabled scenarios, where train jumping is possible in any event.

-ShowDestinationMarkerList - puts a button marked "Destinations" at the top of the driver tab, which, when clicked, causes the game to crash. This looks like it would have been a useful feature if it had worked.

-NoSplashScreens - replaces loading screens with blankness. Does not appear to increase speed of loading.

That a way, James. I'll add the comments to the list and we'll post a final list when it's all figured out.

I was wondering when someone would notice this list.

For me when used with the developer edition it goes straight to the main menu and is therefore quicker ( perhaps more noticeable when running in a window ).

the nosplash is also faster for me using railsimeditor. We really need a comprehensive list and hopefully a sticky.
