Hi Michael
Because it's very easy to install a large number of routes, it would also be nice to have some sort of folder facility (similar to Windows Explorer) so that you could have, for example, folders for Narrow Gauge, British Steam, British Diesel, German, or whatever you wish to let you organise your routes.
This is a good idea and would be particularly useful as more routes become available. Even better if the choice could be made in the route selection window in the game itself so that it fitted in with the general design of the opening screens.
Note that it is relatively easy to re-order your routes now but it does involve careful cutting of the relevant sections of the routes.xml file and pasting back to where you want the route to be in the listing. Not as good as a built in facility but stll quite practical. As usual, always make back ups before tinkering with files.

Could the Arrivals(in F3) time be actually set to hold an arrivals timetable rather than predicting when you will arrive..

And also relating to this... we really need to be able to see when a set of points are coming up so u can slow down before you get to them. I have spilt countless cups of coffee for my passengers.

I'd love an activity maker like MSTS. It is too complex to make an activity in RS, well, for me anyway...

Important features, fixes, and "nice to haves" (in no particular order):
- Projected light in the sim for locomotives and objects
- Implement the projectedlight shaders for modeling
- The ability for developers to define and compile their own shaders
- The ability to define one way traffic for single and mult-lane roads
- The ability to force traffic to stop at or near crossings (either the the track or road level - aka: hazard)
- The ability to snap an object to track, similar to the gantry tool, but with the ability to match the track's gradient
- Fix the no back face culling on loft shaders
- The ability to change the switch stand object via a properties menu
- The ability to change the type of turnout (automatic/manual) via a properties menu
- Additional keystrokes to allow right-left movement of objects without having to reorient the camera view
- The ability to align an object to the terrain (MSTS uses 'N' key)
- Update developer documentation, especially in regards to Blueprint field definition and uses
- The ability to make terrain transparent while editing (MSTS uses '/' key)
- The ability to define track spacing outside the Blueprint
- Add a time acceleration mode (aides in traversing the route while checking track and testing scenarios)
- The ability to use 12, 18, 24, etc. Wang tile definitions for terrain textures instead of the current limit of 8
- Add bump mapping support for terrain or terrain textures
- Distant mountain terrain and the ability to texture it
- Add "No" to the save dialog when exiting editing mode

Also when you accidentally press F2 in driving mode.

If Marc and 3d Trains promise or hint to release a route I second all of the above....
Seriously though its odd that in this Sim we dont seem to be able to fix "long vision/distant" scenery as well as MSTS1 can...

I have just been running the activity Running on Empty.
I am not sure if this happened before any of the patches. But it seems the Black 5 is bouncing when stationery.

hi, i have had this before, not sure what causes it, speed jumping up n down, guess its just hyper n raring to go, happened with the blue class 47 with me, so not a problem with the black 5, did mean to report it at the time but forgot about it, yo just reminded me about it
cheers
Gav
P.S. was pre mk2 when it happened, poss before mk1, cant quite remember, it is a rare prob tho

hi,has it happened to yous regular or was it a one off, since this has come up i've been thinking it may have happened when i changed views, whatever caused it i dont think it is something that can be recreated, i put it down to a glitch, nothing i could do at the time to stop it happening other than to close the game and start again, maybe one of those things we will have to live with unless someone can recreate the problem

I wish you Good Luck and you will need it.
And don't keep your fingers crossed as someone suggested me cause it doesn't give anything except stopping you doing something else with them.
Other thoughts but I keep them for me.
Cheers,
Robert
