Uninstalled the sim, reinstalled the game then MK1, then Mk2 still no tools, cant create any new scenarios
My thoughts are that Mk2 has killed them, could be wrong of course, any help would be most appreciated

This also happened to me as well, but remembering what I'd been advised to do in this case, previously, I simply went to the Rail Simulator folder and looked for the RailSimEditor.exe file and made a shortcut on the Desktop for it. Closed Windows Explorer and clicked on the new Desktop icon, waited while it loaded, and went to my own created route I'm working on, and selected it, and EDIT. Then after it loaded (seems to take longer loading routes with Mk2 Upgrade installed, although the program itself starts up decidedly more quickly, to the main menu screen, anyway). Railsim started fine in Edit mode, and sure enough, the DevTools showed up where they should have, and I was able to do stuff with them as normal. There's no need to delete manually (not reccommended at all) the program and reinstall it all, just look for the RailSimEditor.exe file and do the shortcut to the Desktop and you should be just fine, although I'm not too sure just why the tool icons won't show up where they were before, as I thought the DevTools were included in the upgrade. But at 21 Megs, the upgrade seems too small to have the tools included, given the size of this tools program, compared to the Upgrade itself ! Hope this helps others as well, if they get worried at the missing Dev Tools after upgrading. I got mine working simply by creating an icon for the Tools on the desktop and starting KRS from that icon. But I definately would love to know why it won't show up the tools in the editor as it should. Any fix for that apart from re-installing KRS ?Sly401 wrote:Glad you're sorted Peter
