The german class 151 is new from German Railroads

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

The german class 151 is new from German Railroads

Post by ErnstGR »

Hi everybody,

we have created the next important locomotive for the RS. Now we have a real freight loco for the Hagen-Siegen route. The class 151 is one of the biggest ones in Germany. You can find this new add-on in our webshop under: http://shop.german-railroads.eu/product ... anguage=en

Here is an image of this impressive machine:

Anyone figured out how to install this on a 64 bit OS??

As usual, I get halfway through an installer and it bombs out. I've rescued the .rpk files, but can't install them as I get an access denied message to the packageuninstaller folder, looking for non-existant .inf files.....

I know it wasn't "supported" from the off, but I wish the team would come up with a fix for this, it's driving me mad.....

Fixed it, managed to get the rpk's from the packager folder, but kept getting the access to path is denied error.

Thought I'd sack it off and install some other things, and got the same error. Ended up turning UAC off and they all installed fine, looks like a good pack. Be warned though, the pantograph doesn't wotk in beginner mode, you need to up it to intermediate or expert.

Still wish they'd fix the installer though.....

Hi everybody,

the package installer has another problem with Vista 64. It is possible, to go around it. After the interrupted installation you should have a folder "GR Install" in the RS Folder. In this one you can find a folder "GT3a" (example for the 151). In this folder you can find the packagemanager.exe and all RPK-files. You must start the packagemanager manual and extract every single RPK file manually. The problem is, that this Packagemanager is not able to find the path of the RS. You must search it for yourself. After the extraction of all files the add-on should be installed.

We hope, that Kuju will fix this problem as soon as possible.

Great service from the guys at GR - Ernst very kindly replied to my email query seperately. Gives me confidence in using them in the future (not that I haven't in RSDL, they were good with the 66 pack too) but feel it's only right to point out good service when it happens.

Thanks again Ernst
