What would you like to see in a Rail Simulator upgrade?

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Hi RSAdam,

I can't find a row called "Animation Style". There's only one for "Animation name"... so, where should I add the style? Is it possible to make a non-continuous animation for the engine start? That's what I want to do.

Thanks!
Ingo
While nobody has the answer for my question, I've found an answer otherwise... No harm meant!

Maby it is asked before..but I am a little bit afraid for this:

-do the old kuju assets stay in it's own folder structure like this c:/program files/railsimulator/assets/kuju...etc. In my own route some of these assets are used in the bin file as a external set. (like sounds, particles, cars etc..) The IOW route was placed in the RSLD folder, how will RS2 be structured?

does anyone know something about this?

thanks, SAD

Rail hitting the windows as in real life, making the windscreen wipers actually do something.

If everyone gets what they wish for in the new Rail Works I shall start worrying that it won't work too well on my three year old computer! And I don't really want to pay out another £1000 for a new one. I know the program will fit with plenty to spare, but with so many animated assets here there and everywhere I shall have to slap on a 25mph speed restriction on all routes to avoid judder.
[We do apologise for the delay to your train today, but the number of nearby cows nodding their heads and swinging their tails has caused a processing problem on our inboard computer...]

I shouldn't worry me oldpufferspotter! They will only implement what would be useful and practical and achievable and not what would be "nice"

How about attaching a trigger to whistle boards to activate Ai horns? you could set it for short or long blasts?

In 1971 I was in the army ice, in Spich.
Transportation was by train from Hasselt to Köln. (Cologne).

Sorry for my German...

I remember very wel:

"Achtung achtung, gleiss sieben, gleiss sieben"
Bitte einsteigen und türen sliesen, forsicht bei die abfart"

Hi Ice, yes you could attach any of the sounds to any sign, visible or invisible possibly? Hey you could even have onboard announcements triggered in this way " next stop london paddington please ensure you have all your belongings"!

Yes, instead of just falling and not actually hitting the train, but in actual fact will any of this get to RSDL? they must be completing Rail Works by now.

Is RSC ok then? No more than 3 letters, please ... The L in RSDL was superfluous enough. Seeing how I gave in and joined the RSDL typing in the end, I might end up typing RS.com, but why have the extra work for a name part which would have been hip 5 years ago. Or was that 7?
