Shunt on Tyne

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Shunt on Tyne

Post by vorlon25 »

I don't know if this will be of use to anyone.

I bought the RA Exapnsion Pack and the Shunt on Tyne scenario has never worked. Even when I unpartitioned & reformatted the hard disk, did a clean install of Vista (complete) instead of my previous XP config and did a clean install of RS, & RS Exp Pack.

However if you download the shunt on tyne scenario from RS website - lo and behold - shunt on tyne works :)

There's a (now) known problem which exists on a very small number of users machines with Shunt on Tyne. To complicate things it doesn't happen all of the time and for some people they've re-installed and it's been fine. RSDL have been investigating and I believe they've worked out the cause (which may be why the files on their site work correctly) and as soon as the scenario can be "patched" we'll issue an update from the support section on the Just Trains website.
