new Physx drivers

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

I fired up the game and before it would even load I got a "(Null) PhysXLoader.Dll" error. It had never done that before.

After an hour of trying various fixes, I had to resort to uninstalling and reinstalling the game. And we all know how long that takes.
Reinstalling the Physx drivers might have fixed that error. If it happens in the future try that first before reinstalling.

Hi

I have at last installed the new Physx drivers software and Rail Sim runs ok.
However, the problem I now have is both "RS_Tools" and "RS_Kickstart" will not run further than showing the "Routes" only.
Both "RS_Tools" and "RS_Kickstart" keep telling me there are no Scenarios and both these programs won't go beyond showing installed routes, instead they say they have stopped working.
I have only installed the Physx drivers and did nothing else.
Prior to installing the new Physx drivers software both the RS programs ran ok.
My operating system is "Vista Home premium" with SP1 installed.
Can anyone offer any help with this problem please.

Best regards
Mike

This probably doesn't help but I have the new physics drivers installed on Vista 64bit SP1 and RS_Tool_TMB and Kickstart both work and report all routes and scenarios so I'am not sure what is happening with your setup.

Hi John

Thanks for stopping bye I am not sure either. A bit of a mystery will have to revert back to a saved copy of RS.

Maybe those wagons contain claustrophobic pachyderms who just want to get out ;)

I can send you the 7.11.13 version if that is any use. I went from the original on the Rail Simulator disc to these then jumped to the ones available now. I have nothing earlier then 7.11.13 i'm afraid.

I was getting that after using rskickstart and changing the 47's for the 66 something to do with i think the blueprints pak file and not Mike simpsons great tool?
but if you want to re install the original physx drivers go into the rs folder and double click the physx exe that's there!

In another thread you said you were having problems and it was suggested that you reinstall the physics from the disk. Did you do that ? If so perhaps it stuffed something up. I would try reinstalling the latest drivers again and see if it makes a difference.
