Welcome Peter Harvey

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Welcome Peter Harvey

Post by Acorncomputer »

Hi Peter

Thanks for the B17 'City of London'

I believe this is your first model for Rail Simulator - and very impressive it is too.

I am sure that I am not the only one eagerly looking out for some more of your models in RS format.

Peter, I cannot get an 'head out of the cab' view, but it may just be me. Everthing else seems to work OK but I need to put a few more miles in to make sure.

Hey

cheers for the City of London an excellent model taking it for a spin up and down Cinder Lane all 2day

i also cant get a headout display its a shame i think it would make the model complete if it did

a loco that i think is defiantly very good build

cheers

Thanks from me too. She seems pretty thirsty though - I got through a tenderful of water between York and Darlington even with a light load and a light hand on the controls.

Hi Peter

I have downloaded the 'fixed' main file and installed it on my second RS installation at work and it was still reluctant to show the headout view. I could make it work by selecting another loco, using the headout view on that and then re-selecting City of London and it then worked.

However, I downloaded the fix and installed that on top of the original installation and it all works OK now without any extra jiggery pokery.

Applied the Fix and all views seem to be correct. Give the Loco a Run on my own Route reached 82 mph before I had to slow down for a station. It looks great and runs well. Many thanks again Peter.
