European Containers Pack Add on

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

European Containers Pack Add on

Post by emrhd01 »

Hi to you Modern Era Container lovers,

This is just a 'heads up' that those into Modern era running Container trains and may be interested in a 'Add on' available over at Trainsim.com. :o

KRS European Container Pack by newS (Swen Klemund).

It is for use with both the European Rail Simulator or the US-KRS with the EU add on and gives a heap of Container flats that you can load with European containers.

I have loaded it to have a look and was impressed, so I thought I'd post for those interested. :-?

EDIT: Ensure when downloading the file for the KRS European Container Pack that you select the correct one for European RS or US-KRS with EU add on as there is a separate download for the U.S. version of Rail Simulator or the Cajon Pass add-on.

Hello DazDood,

I downloaded it this morning and had no problem in installing, just unzipped to a Temp file, clicked on the .rpk file and away it went, installed no problems. I have used the Wagons/Containers by installing in a Scenario and placing the Containers in a yard as Scenery items, so I'd definately give it another try, well worth it IMO.

If you are running Vista, have you given Rail Simulator 'Adminstators Rights' ? :-?

Yep, that message means the folder is Write Protected, like iceman2117 said.

Hi,

The easiest way is to use Mike Simpsons RS Tools_TMB, under 'Options' click on 'Make all RS files Read/Write'.

If you are not sorted come back.

I seem to have this weird problem with the Contaner pack above. I have both US & EU versions of "newS'" packs. The EU one loads fine, but the US ones don't, and the default container trucks for the US don't load now either! Any idea's peeps.

(I checked that the directory is r/w and I've done the *.pak bit)

Chris

Edit: Sorted this in the end - used the filter and switched USRailSim on. I would have thought this was a default setting for a US route!!
