Re: KRS > Clouds
No complaints here, they do need slowing down from a tropical cyclone though.RSAdam wrote:What about cloud texturing though, any complaints?

Re: KRS > Clouds
I certainly think the cloud texturing could be improved on. The fluffy sort of clouds seem to non-existant and is all a bit too wispy for my likingRSAdam wrote:Yep, ive been playing around with the weather. See the screenshot section.

Re: KRS > Clouds
In a Weather Blueprint, you can play with 4 different settings in relation to cloud visibility: Wispy Layer / Thick Layer / Storm Layer / Darkness Intensity
Wispy clouds are way up high, Thick are mid range, and Storm Clouds are low. The Darkness Intensity is how much light is lost coming through the clouds. As all the cloud layers are present in the sky dome, for every weather style you want, you just specify how transparent each of these layers are. Combine these with the customisable fog and wind settings settings as well as percipitation and you can pretty much create any weather you want.

Re: KRS > Clouds
What I was wondering was whether the sort of clouds shown in the link below could ever be achieved instead of non-descript clouds:

Re: KRS > Clouds
Maybe, but experimenting with the cloud textures will need to be done, the trick is to find some middle ground for all seasons and weather.

Nasty fellows those fellow, which any prudent aviator avoids, except storm chasers, maybe. Look particularly spectactular when lit up internally with lightning.Cumulo Nimbus

Isnt that pic a bit to large?

It looks OK on 17" LCD. And even better on 22".
