Bristol Sheffield V3

The line now goes from Bromsgrove to Tamworth its complete with scenery from Tamworth to Northfield, the goods lines from Saltley to Kings Norton now fully working, (great to drive a train out of Cadburys Bourneville round the Kings Norton triangle and back down the Camp Hill goods lins crossing over the main line again at Saltley and onto Water Orton. I have corrected all the track faults i could find but only time and feedback will see it better.

As a treat (for myself) I have run the Trent Valley West Coast Main Line from Lichfield to Polesworth with scenery from Polesworth to Tamworth and put the 'Royal Scot' in so you can do a full speed run through Tamworth Low Level.

I have put 'siding' markers on some lines i.e 'Water Orton Down Goods' as just about all freight from the north either routed via Whitacre or the fast lines from Kingsbury was put down them, the controller otherwise would send it to Bromford b4 putting it there. Make use of the 'finger' marker on locos as it routes the train the way you want and will immediately show !!! !!! insted of a time if the route is wrong and it will not load. Let me know the last marker and the marker showing !!! !!! and I can correct it.

Best delete or rename the old V2, As a lot of track has been corrected and most scenarios would not load.

I see the new RS tools now packs addons so I will make and test a new named marker file.

Hello,

Just ran the 'Royal Scot' act and going through Tamworth it is still 15mph and not 70mph, also, after passing the 15mph limit into the 70mph limit I travelled for about 2 minutes and then derailed.... buffer stops in the middle of the track still!!

Also, on the Cadbury act, I loaded it up and there was no loco on rails, just started near the Cadbury car park!! Does the Jinty and Ivatt locos need to be pasted into 'RailVehicles' and then 'Steam' folders as they are not showing up on route.

Hope this is some help for you, otherwise it is becoming a cracking route!!

Justin:)

For those of us not familiar with the route or area and if its not to much to ask, could you please update the map with the locations of the Stations and Sidings to able to get a general idea of where all the lines run to and from.

I have tried several atlases to follow the route on, but I for one am not sure.

Sounds like a very promising route.

Many thanks

are the buffer stops under the overpass at Tamworth? If so just go into editor, hit the 'weld' tag then the grey cube.... if you see 6 grey cubes on the overpass DONT touch them or the high level lines will drop down and form a crossing on the low level..

You will have to install the jinty and ivatt loco's, should put them in the folders you mentioned. ( then go to the middle left flyout box click the blue box with the orange arrow then go over to the right flyout box and click on 'developer' then in the dropdown 'KNGTRAINS' ) and all the other items listed under the download.

Speed limits! Bit all over the place, either just ignore them or go into editor, press the space bar untill the coloured lines appear and then go 'select' then run the 'whats it' thing along the section you want to change then over on the right flyout put in whatever speed you want.. I was putting in 100 and 0 for the secondary. up to you, If you want to run the High Speed train i suppose 125.

Just doing a labbled map, have it up soon

What I have done is created a zip file of the tile with the Tamworth speeds and 'buffer' fix, if any one wants to try it (as everything with RS is 'test and see' PM me your email and i will send it on, just unzip it and paste into RS/content/routes/73c909......../Networks/track tiles folder .. back up the original first...

If this works ok I can start altering scenes, or whatever to your personal choice. As they are only 16kb will come quick.

Hi Guys...
i'm going crazy with this route because of 2 problems:
I can't see the 2d map (just see some purple points) and when i try to open the destination list (the black one on the right) i see all the uk routes destinations (Oxorf to Padd-New C.-York-Bath-Templecombe).
There's another strange thing...when the route is loading i see the Bath Templecombe screenshots and map.(like when loading the default Bath Templecombe route)
Thank in advance...

Hi
If scenarios are out, you can create your own scenario and explore this beauteful route :D without difficulty, and you'll see the 2d map
The screenshots are not those for this route, the routes destinations too. What's the problem???
Paris was not done in a day!!!

Thanks jetgriff for updating the route map with station and junction names.

Things are looking good with the route, it really is a big area you have taken on.

Bloody well done mate. :o

hi luca,

the reason for the little dots n the 2d map is because thats the remants of the Bath templecpmbe route. I used the bath route template to create my route so that in time my route will join onto the Bath route, all co ordinates are the same this way. if you pan out on the 2d map as small as it will go the Bristol Sheffield route will show at about 1 oclock top.
Thats why the bath frontpiece shows as well, I have not had time to make my own frontpiece yet, to busy on the route.

the place names if you are not seeing them is either you never loaded the Birmingham Tamworth V2 route or you have not enabled them they are on file UKTS18383 as well.
Try this first:
When in Rail Simulator open a scenario in 'edit'... middle box left fly outbox click on the little blue box with the orange arrow.. 'object set filter' then in the top middle drop down click on the 'go' arrow, bottom left, then to the right fly out box, top drop down (developer)click and get 'developer01' click it and then click 'developer01' that should direct the simulator to the markers.

if no go, Private message me your email and I will send you the rpk of the file for the markers..

splendid news!

Now the scenario Carflats to Kings Norton, will not load, I did some work on the other end of Washwood Heath yard and obviously tickled the train sitting there, and its packed the usual sad.

Just doing another, but now can use the New class 8... Will pack it up and post it soon..

just spent 2 hours putting in all the correct speeds and found out that the '0' bath speed sign turns itself into a '30' or '70' or whatever speed is on the track you put it by.. finding things all the time...
