15:45 oxford - london paddington

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

I also have a problem with this scenario. I have downloaded and installed all the required stock including the 'fog' scenario.
When I attempt to run the scenario it loads up to the point where i can see the '47' sitting at Oxford but a caption appears stating the 'scenario has failed to load'!!

1. to enable logging you need the devtools (avaliable from the Kuju Railsim Website) if you allready have them, click start > all programs > rail simulator developer tools you will find a short cut to play the game in devoloper mode with enabled logging.

2. Have you reacently updated your rail sim to MK1 if you have this may be why, if the scenario creator has NOT updated it to work with MK1 patch it will not work. mainly because of a spelling correction of "basingstoke".

hope this helps.

Thanks for that information. Yes, I have updated to MK 1 so I guess I will have to wait until the scenario creator does an update.
Thanks anyway.

I have just installed the latest from the front page which says that it should work with a patched RS, but I get the "Scenario failed to load" message. I have patched my RS and according to RS Tools TMB I am not missing any stock. I have also installed the activity with the fog. Any ideas anyone?

hi, ...
Soory, but also for me is always the "Scenario error" screen. Although I have all the necessary assets together,
Maybe an Asset consumed what was later updates (Signalbox - Derek)?
It is now only an idea.
RS and MK1 + DevTools are on the newest Stand.

Ugh, I give up, will keep it up there for when RSDL get their act together regarding signalling...

What has the above issue got to do with signals?

The inability of the engine being to path properly resulting in many !! !! !! messages. See http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 15&t=81048. Also, since the mk1 upgrade, all the services in the scenario show weird times such as '39:49' and none of the AI trains move, is rather strange but I haven't the patience to try and work out why it's doing it.

Ok, I am having the same problem with this scenario. Like the others I have made sure I have all the stuff listed but it still comes up with failed to load.

For whats its worth, I reckon this sim is great. Nothing is perfect, but I love the sim and look forward to all that it can do in the future.

All the best

I agree with Derek that it has nothing to do with signalling, but with AI. In fact, the issue is that the AI has nothing to do with the signalling.
And I agree with everyone that this needs to be fixed, under any name.
