The gallery - competition

Well in true gallery style I'd like people to post images of their art (hand/computer drawn/painted,train related) no computer render trickery for this one.
It does not matter how good or bad you think you are, come on and post.

Competition -

This is just for fun, so don't be afraid to post, we will get everyone on the RS team to post too. (Though they can not enter the competition)

Art is subjective. However we will pick a winner based on style/artistic interpretation, light, form, humour etc.
We are open to bribes too,

The prize -

Will be an oil painting I'm working on of the D3462 shunter (basic outline image below) (20"x16") Which I hope to have finished around the same time, will update this image as I go.



The end date will be Feb the 22nd.

The winners picture will also get pride of place on the website for awhile.

I look forward to seeing peoples images, lets have some fun.

If it's ok I'd like to post an entry on behalf of my father (who I've just loaned my MSTS and addons to - now I'm playing RS ). It's to him I owe my love of steam trains and particularly the GWR.
He's retired and now paints as it's something he's always wanted to do but never had the time. His website is at http://www.artyman.co.uk, and when I saw this thread I pointed him to it and he sent this re-scanned picture of "Memories of Steam" to submit (the one on his site is a little washed out).
I have particularly fond memories of this picture as it's losely based on a photograph he took on holiday when I was about 12 (MANY years ago!) which involved tramping through a corn field and then waiting at the entrance to a tunnel for what felt like hours waiting for the train to come!
